The Pursuit of Happiness By D.A. Young

When I first heard about this author it was from fellow blogger @musingsirj Now I will be the first to tell you that we agree to disagree on books BUT she did not lead me wrong when told me that author D.A. Young was the truth. Remember the days of getting a fully developed story? When I tell you ladies this author is that and more. Her Men of Whiskey Row series has me hooked and I cannot wait for the next installment.

The latest book in this growing series is The Pursuit of Happiness this is Darby and Ms. Avery story. In the last book ( New Beginnings)  we were left with quite a cliffhanger. This story picks up where that one left off. Let me tell you I absolutely loved this story.
Darby was known as the wild child, the love them and leave them type. At the beginning of this story we get a little flashback on how his past helped shaped the man he is today. I will admit Darby was a playboy but meeting the spicy Ms. Avery has turned his world upside down.

Ms. Avery is a woman wanting to break free of the self-imposed prison she is in. Darby makes her want to be the woman she has always dreamed of becoming but insecurities has stopped her. Darby has a lot of baggage including a few surprises but can Ms. Avery ride it out with him?

I loved that even though these two had their issues as readers we got to see them work through them and develop their relationship. One issue I had is that although this book is a series the author does focus on all the characters and just when you are starting to get into one characters storyline it’s a transition to the next character. Don’t get me wrong I love catching up with all the characters but if this is to be a story about two characters the main focus needs to be on them. Because this series has a few characters each with great stories that need to be told I think the author could benefit from a family tree. With all the anguish between Alexi & ViVi I would love to see more how this storyline was going to play out. ( I know, I know their story is coming, but I am on pins & needles with the bombshell that just dropped). I did love the meeting in the chop shop with three of the main characters. D.A. Young knows how to keep the readers interested and on the edge of their seat. I cannot wait to see how this all will play out. Readers if you are looking for a well told story with depth and layers please one click this author. You will not be disappointed. Please read this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Matt & Brooklyn By Raven St. Pierre

Title: Matt & Brooklyn
Author: Raven St. Pierre
Genre: NA Contemporary Romance, Interracial Romance
Hosted by: Lady Amber's Tours
Synopsis:
She tells herself he’s just a friend, but in her heart he’s so much more…
Matteo Valente is an up-and-coming filmmaker whose award-winning documentary put him on the map two short years ago. It was that very documentary that also led him to the beautiful, intriguingly elusive Brooklyn James. From the moment he laid eyes on her through the lens of his camera, he couldn’t shake the feeling that their meeting was no mistake. Their connection was instant, but Brook has been hell-bent on keeping him in the dreaded “friend zone” while she chases after her own dream.
When Matt pays a surprise visit to Brook the day she graduates with her master’s degree, she is forced to take a second look. “Come with me” were not the words she expected to hear as Matt prepared to leave town again. The invitation to spend a week in L.A. left her breathless, but there were so many reasons to turn him down; so many scenarios that could ruin their close friendship, but… at the risk of regretting it later… she said yes.
“Matt & Brooklyn” is the second STANDALONE in the “Again for the First Time” family saga.
Raven is the author of several interracial and African-American romances, including her debut series, "Free Falling" books 1 - 3.5, "Again for the First Time", "Red Sun", “Only Love” (co-authored with Victoria H. Smith), and "Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob". To learn more about Raven's upcoming works, there are a number of ways to find her and to stay in touch! Author Links:

Dipping Into Sin By DJ Parker

So everyone knows that I love discovering new authors and new reads it was suggested that I read this book, “Dipping Into Sin.” I have heard mixed reviews about this book. I think reviews good or bad you can learn something from them. Well this book was a mix up for me.

Simone new to the city is in for a wild of her life. Taking a chance to let her hair down with newly proclaimed best friend Victoria she meets Andriano a man like no other. These two are immediately drawn to each other. Dangerous and very sexy Andriano claims Simone as his own and from there the story begins.

For me Simone although she claimed her mother was very submissive when it came to men was like her mother in many ways. All this man had to do was perform some sort of sexual act and she was putty in his hands. I really didn’t understand why they were together. It was more lust than anything. She was a virgin of course but I didn’t get that from her behavior i.e. they first meet and she allows him to touch her and the next time just take her. Although she tells him she isn’t his toy and will not be used for her body she lets him. Now don’t get me wrong they actually do date but a lot of that happens off the pages but one thing we do get as readers is a bunch of sex scenes. I would have liked to read more about the development of their relationship instead of the story skipping in time. One moment it was a month, then 3 ½ months and then 5 years have passed.

This story left me with more questions than anything a lot didn’t really make sense. After the Jacob club scene he still continues to work for Andriano. Huh? He's the boss of bosses but didn't look for her for 5 years? Someone knows where she is they sent the pictures. How did she keep the secret hidden? Was there a beta reader because this book has so many clichés she's a virgin he supposedly he is an alpha male but really a douchebag. The whole I'm done but use my body thing was annoying. This book has potential but so many loose ends.

I would for once like to see a strong female character not pinning away for a married man who has 3 kept women on the side. You mean after 5 years she is still waiting for a man that only comes for you when he sees you by chance at a funeral? Things were thrown in like Victoria the cousins that were never really explored or fleshed out. i.e. the “forgiveness letter.” The fight at the hospital was the realness I was looking for in the story.  And that was sort of ruined with the line this is what you do to me?  Make you hard?  Is that a turn on?! That's physical. The author wants readers to believe that this is a true love for him but so far it seems only physical with his actions. Hopefully in the second book readers will get some sort of finality and this not be carried on to a third book. Although this book had some issues for me overall it wasn’t that bad. Pease judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Samantha By Serenity King

Serenity King is back with her second installment in the Powell series. I will say readers you don’t have to read the first book in the series to understand this one but you would want to just to get to know this up and coming family better. One of the things I love about this author is that she writes a good family tale as a reader you feel like you know these characters or want to get to know them. This story centers on Samantha and Adam and who could forget sweet Kayla. Vowing to never give her heart to another single mother Samantha cannot control what her heart desires don’t get me wrong she tries to. She is headstrong and at times a bit stubborn. Adam being a Westbrook has always had a thing for her she is beautiful, and their one night together wasn’t nearly enough. Except there is an issue Samantha’s past. She holds many secrets including who is the father of her child. Seeing through her façade Adam makes it his mission to be the father Kayla needs and the man Samantha always wanted.

I understood that Samantha was closed off after being heartbroken but at times she was hard on men mainly Adam. It was like she would be ok with where they were going but was too afraid to lean on him. I wanted Adam to be more of an alpha and take charge instead of letting Samantha come to her own devices. I will say that I hope Daniel (the guy from her past) gets his own story I think there is a lot he has to say. Although Adam could have been a bit more take charge I enjoyed his southern twang he was a good ole’ boy in every way possible. After the hospital scene I thought Samantha would have gotten the hint but she seemed more closed off than ever. Needless to say this chick was very frustrating at times. But after she stopped playing the cat and mouse game when she and Adam came together it was fireworks. I loved the family element of the book and Adam’s love for Kayla. If you are looking for a good summer read one click this book today. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Ascend (Wolf In Exile) By Amber Ella Monroe

Synopsis:

After Thane’s breakout from Area S2, he ascends as Alpha of the ShadowRock Pack once again. His first priority is to stop the spread of an illegal drug connected to the Silex name. Discovery of its existence could shatter a thousand-year-old blood truce between wolf shifters and an ancient race of vampires.

The attraction between Thane and Kalena continues to burn even when they are apart. Thane has made it clear that she holds a special place in his heart. But while they are learning to love each other, trouble continues to brew…

When it comes time for Kalena to expose information about Silex and the harmful drug, she’s more than prepared to do it—especially when it will help dozens of others like her. What she doesn’t realize is that her willingness to help will lead to a revelation so shocking that her union with Thane will be jeopardized.
~

Ascend (approx. 17,000 words) is Part Three of Wolf in Exile, a serialized shapeshifter paranormal romantic suspense that contains a cliffhanger at the end. Intended for Mature Audiences only.

I was pleasantly surprised by the latest installment in the Wolf In Exile Series. Just when I think I have it figured out the author adds another curve ball that leaves my jaw dropping.  I love that this books starts right off where the other when left off. Kalena has since been rescued after sharing a steamy love scene with Thane. Although they have a new love Thane knows shes his mate. But these two have a lot to learn about each other. When secrets are revealed how will they survive? Area S2 has nothing on the bomb that’s about to explode when all is revealed.

Things seem to be going well since the two have been reunited but Kalena has memory loss and Thane is trying to survive in a world he has been removed from. I was surprised at the turn this book had taken toward the end. And wanted to scream when the author left us on yet another cliif-hanger. All in all this was a very quick read but as a reader I wanted more. As soon as the story was getting good it ended. Hopefully the author doesn’t make her fans wait too long.

Healed( Damaged Souls Book 3) By: Twyla Turner

Synopsis:

Lexi and Sloan have narrowly escaped one of their demons, only to face another. One that neither of them could've ever expected. Their issues continue to threaten their fragile relationship. Pulling them further apart and possibly pushing them into another's arms. Will Aaron and Victoria finally get what they want? Or will it be Sloan's parents that rip them apart? Find out in Healed, the emotional conclusion to the Damaged Souls Series.

About Twyla Turner:

I was born and raised in Joliet, IL. I wrote my first story in the 3rd grade and fell in love with creating my own world. But throughout the years I have lacked the discipline to actually sit down and write. Even with a minor in Creative Writing (which should have been my major).
I have been a avid romance novel reader since Jr. High and have read hundreds. I have lived in Chicago, Japan, California and now reside in Arizona. And I wanted nothing more than to combine my love of romance, writing and traveling and put them in a book.

This is the conclusion to Lexi & Sloan rollercoaster romance. As much as I love these two characters I am so happy to see them get their hea. This story is told in layers and this final layer was just mind-blowing. Part two left us with the craziest cliffhanger and I honestly didn’t know how the author was going to let part three play out. When I tell you that these two have went through the most things in their short time together i.e. crazy exes, ptsd, abuse just to name a few.

This story really focused on the two as individuals and how they overcame their own issues. I will say that Sloan kind of annoyed me with some of the decisions he made regarding his relationship but as a reader you have to remember all the baggage these two have. And Lexi she came a long way but when times got tough she would often draw within herself and just shut down. I wanted to yell at her speak up, gain your voice. But the author really does take these two characters on a journey of growth. This story was not without the drama and old characters coming in to destroy the characters happiness. And the ending!!! Let me just say it was well deserved. One of the things I had issues with is the grammar. The content and the way the story flowed was on point. This author can tell a wonderful tale that you don’t get with most stories these days you know an actual plot. But the grammar made it hard to focus on the story at times. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Ironic By Harper Miller Blog Tour

Please choose one of the top banners you want to use then delete the other :)

TITLE: IRONIC

AUTHOR: HARPER MILLER

Genre: Contemporary Erotica, Interracial/Multicultural Erotica, BDSM Erotica

(due to light bondage) Content is for a mature audience

Amazon Release Date: April 29, 2015 Official Release Date: May 1, 2015

I’ve got a funny story for you. A funny story I need to get off my chest. I can’t share it with any of my friends, so I’m sharing it on a kinky message board full of strangers. Well, it is the Internet.... Although the Internet provides a sense of anonymity, names have been changed to protect the innocent (and not so innocent). Job-related details have been distorted to protect my identity, but despite the ambiguous details, this is a true story. A story very worthy of the acronym FML. *Disclaimer* This is a short erotic comedy. Not a novelette, novella, or novel, but a short story. Ironic is the first installment in The Kinky Connect Chronicles. The Kinky Connect Chronicles are short erotic stories all wrapped up in a neat little bow. No cliffhangers in the lot!

There’s no reason for a single, thirty-five-year-old woman with intellect, a sense of humor, her own apartment, and a body to die for—such as myself—to not be getting laid on the regular. Well, aside from the fact that I haven’t had much time to date.
I do happy hours, and I go out with my girlfriends when I can spare the time, but still, a steady guy hasn’t happened. What Jason and I have is nice, but he’s not the long-term guy. And as appealing as the opposites-attract ideology is, in an election year, we’d likely want to kill each other. I’ve been told I’m too picky. Why is that always the case? Why do women always get called out for having standards? Like we’re just supposed to fall for any guy who gives us the time of day? Whatever.
My philosophy? Why the heck shouldn’t I be picky? Picking a new man is like selecting a new purse. When you have the means to acquire top quality, you don’t go for bargain-basement brands. Aim high, ladies, aim high. If you can afford the cream of the crop, why not indulge?
I know my worth, so I hold out. One day I just might get lucky, but I’m a realist. There’s no breath-holding over here. True love is overrated. Until a suitable prospect comes along, emergency dick will do just fine.
The closer it gets to one in the morning, the antsier I become. I try to forge ahead with my Good Wife marathon, but I find my attention span isn’t what it was a few hours earlier. Julianna will understand; we can reconvene at a later date.
When I get up for a glass of water, the smooth cashmere moving over my naked flesh makes every step toward the kitchen agonizing. My clit pulsates as the material caresses my nipples. The water quenches my thirst, but I need something stronger. I’m naked, single, and horny in the wee hours of the morning. Bad, bad, bad.

Summer 2011

No more than thirteen years old, a girl in hand-me downs and ill-fitting shoes stomped down the sidewalk. Everywhere her plain brown eyes landed was brokenness.

The row houses that made up her run-down neighborhood were broken.

The few cars parked along the curb belonging to people who used the vehicles as temporary shelters when they couldn’t afford the rent were broken.

And the neighbors … The neighbors were the worst. Their entire beings were broken. Their minds crumbled by choices they were pushed by life to make. Their physical bodies aged before their time by lack of access to quality food choices. Their psyches irreparably damaged by parents who were stuck in a generational cycle they didn’t have the tools to break through.

            Broken.

Everyone who lived in this part of town was broken.

And what did brokenness lead to?

Without a backward glance, she ran from the home where just weeks prior she had found her parents with their mouths agape, forearms corded off, and needles sticking from their veins.

            She ran from her brokenness.

The teen rounded a corner and slowed her pace to a cool, unaffected gait before she approached the men who were huddled together. This was the place, the corner, in Lower Manhattan to get the best drugs, everybody knew that—addict or not.

The teen gripped the crumbled money in her pocket, a gift from the police officer who felt the need to check on what was left of her family from time to time. With a kind smile that reached his violet eyes, he’d told her to buy something just for her. Maybe he thought she’d treat herself to some earrings or her favorite ice cream—little kid stuff—but she had lost her childhood a long, long time ago.

Around her, men and women with sunken, scabbed-over cheeks became the norm. The little girl stuck out like a sore thumb but had no intention of remaining an ‘other’ any longer. The euphoric smile on the faces of her neighbors, her deceased parents, and sibling—she wanted that, even for just a little while.

“You got anything?” she muttered to no one in particular.

“You lost, kid?” the young man in the center of the group asked, snickering to his companions.

“I’m not a kid,” she said with defiance. Her face rose higher in the air and she squared her thin shoulders. Even with a mature body, the freckles that littered the bridge of her nose and spread to the apples of her baby face said otherwise.

To amuse her he said, “Okay. So you’re no kid.” He peered at her closer. “But hand to God, I swear I’ve seen your face before.”

            He probably had.

Before their deaths, images of the girl’s parents’ faces hung in neighborhood stores identifying them as regular shoplifters. They had been arrested so many times they were on a first-name basis with their arresting officers.

With her face blazing in embarrassment, the little girl toed the cracked pavement. “I want your best.” Her words came out low and stammering. She wasn’t a kid, and she planned to prove it. “I want the best you have,” she repeated louder then shoved the formerly crisp bills into his face.

            Greed alighted his eyes.

“Yo, man, she’s only a ki—”

“Shut the fuck up,” he yelled at the sole dissenter. “If it’s green, we take it.” He pocketed the money then looked around.

“Hey,” she shouted, taking a step toward him. If he thought he would stiff her, he had another thing coming.

“Relax, kid,” he said with a canny smile. “I wouldn’t do you dirty when your folks were my biggest customers.” His evil laugh chilled her though the air was balmy. “Take a walk with my friend over there.”

The young thug had at least a hundred pounds on her and towered over her by maybe a foot and half. She tucked her chin into her shirt and kept her gaze low, following the boy’s sneakered feet to a nearby abandoned house.

“Stay here.” He looked up and down the street to ensure they weren’t followed before disappearing behind a door that was falling off its hinges. Before the girl had a chance to worry, he was back and shoving a small opaque rectangle in her hand.

Almost too beautiful, the deep purple petal and green stalk painted on the waxy paper dominated the small expanse. She giggled at the ornate flower.

“Take Over. Best shit on the market,” he said before walking away.

Holding the pretty bag against her heart, she turned and walked in the opposite direction.

Avi has a checkered past she doesn’t trust many with her secrets let alone her heart. Through her best friend well only friend Anna she crosses paths with the King of New York Noah Adams. Not used to running in the same circles Avi dismisses him. I mean really who is he except a gorgeous Adonis who oozes confidences and makes her heart flutter? But Avi is much more than meets the eye she has secrets of her own and has issues with abandonment. Noah is more than confident he can break down those walls Avi has put up brick by brick if that’s what it would take to have her.

Noah doesn’t like the word no. He doesn’t take it from his enemies and he won’t put up with it from his woman. Noah is an alpha male in the true sense of the word the only thing is like many dominant characters he has some darkness that rules his life. He is in urban terms a street pharmacist/drug dealer. It’s the only life he knows and because of this life it has made him the ruthless man he is today. Seemingly from two different worlds Avi and Noah have more in common than meets the eye. I will say that I love the fact that Avi made him work for her affection. Although at times she was a little annoying with the cat and mouse game. I just wanted to tell her, “go to him, let him help you.” This book has some very “deep” elements to it. It’s more than just a romance it’s a mystery. You see there is some drug hitting the street a lethal drug, enemies are working behind the scenes and little Avi is right in the enemies sights. Will Noah and Avi new found love conquer their enemies of will Avi run like she has been known to do?

What I loved about this story is that the characters were multidementional and as readers we get to see the characters grow within their relationship. Each character has a connection and when you find out what it is whoa!!! Stay tuned for book 2. If you are looking for a mystery, mixed with some good old fashioned romance this is the book for you. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Ironic By: Harper Miller

Synopsis:

I’ve got a funny story for you. A funny story I need to get off my chest. I can’t share it with any of my friends, so I’m sharing it on a kinky message board full of strangers. Well, it is the Internet. . . .

Although the Internet provides a sense of anonymity, names have been changed to protect the innocent (and not so innocent). Job-related details have been distorted to protect my identity, but despite the ambiguous details, this is a true story. A story very worthy of the acronym FML.

You know how you read something and you just can see someone you know in the story? You just think to yourself that’s so and so because it so funny and spot on? If you know anyone who has tried internet dating and just a single girl going through dating woes this story is laugh out loud funny. I felt like this story was a mix of the shows: Sex and the City, Girlfriends and Catfish.

Mimi is a lawyer who is powerful in her own right but every now and then she gets an itch that needs to be scratched that doesn’t include b.o.b. (battery operated boyfriend). With a fetish for kink it’s hard in her profession to keep her anonymity so she does what many women do online date. Now I have tried online dating and let me tell you Mimi is something else. When she sees something she likes she doesn’t hold back. I know some readers are turned off by the whole sub/dom relationship let me just say although Mimi is a sub she is no one’s pushover. This girl is what my grandmother would call fast or being manish. But really who can blame her when the man looking back at you on the computer screen is anything less than a dream.

Aden talk about a wet dream!!! He is a man who doesn’t beat around the bush. He meets Mimi on this online website and instantly they both are attracted to each other. The banter between the two is epic. I honestly could see a lot of my friends talking like this. What’s so great about this story is that it’s so real and honest. But this isn’t a sappy love story these two enjoy some kink and pushing each other buttons. This was supposed to be a one night stand fake names were added but what happens when it’s just so good you want more?

One of the issues I had with this story is that it was short. And I know it’s a disclaimer that this is a short read but I would like to petition the author to make this a full length novel. Some of the acronyms for the bdsm lifestyle I had to look-up I would have liked for a definition of terms to be added in the book. I had very few issues with this book and would suggest if you are looking for a short read to pass the time that is enjoyable and well edited then one-click this book. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Open Wounds By: Twyla Turner

Sloan & Lexi are back on Twyla Turner’s much anticipated sequel Open Wounds. If you haven’t read book one yet I suggest you do. This book takes place where the last book left off almost like the next scene or day later. When I tell you that this author can write a soul touching book trust you will not be disappointed.

Lexi goodness I don’t even know where to begin her character is so complex. She is struggling with some very emotional issues. i.e. her last relationship was abusive and the demons of her traumatic and haunting past. Here is the low down her father was abusive toward her mother and one day killed the mother and then himself all in front of a young Lexi. (Don’t worry readers I didn’t give anything away this book is so deep that that little tidbit is just the tip of the iceberg) Dealing with all of that she had to endure it’s no wonder she has a hard time opening a heart to love and just life.

Now on to Sloan! He is just what some would call a book boyfriend. Now don’t get me wrong he is a man with problems such as ptsd. He is an ex-soldier struggling like Lexi to find happiness. But it doesn’t come easy for either of them. Threats and secrets from the past come to the surface in this sequel can these two find their happily ever after?

This book is such an emotional read full of deception, and just raw emotion. The reader gets a real look into these two issues like Lexi’s issues with self-mutilation when she feels threatened or goes into a dark place. I can’t even begin to describe all that this book has touched on just that you should definitely one click.  And the way this books ends!!! Goodness. All I know is that the author has stated she will not keep us waiting long for the next book. One thing that I did have an issue with was the grammar issues in this book but the story is so striking that I overlooked a lot of it. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

You know how in the summer time you want that one feel good read that’s not too complicated but perfect for the beach? Well Serenity King’s new book Riding the Waves is for you.

Josina “Jo” life has not been easy. She is raising her siblings, and is married to her work so when her girlfriends suggest a vacation in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina she is right there. What better way to relax and drown your sorrow than a relaxing trip to the beach? This isn’t just an ordinary beach trip sometimes the past coming back into your life can teach you something about yourself. This is a second chances sweet short read. Don’t get me wrong there is a lot of spice in this story.

Teksusen “Tek” sees her from a distance she’s oddly familiar to him but he can’t place where. Being a man of action he formulates a plan to get to know her better. Jo isn’t as easy catch as Tek once thought she has a very hurtful past and is in the midst of grieving. Never to back down from a challenge Tek sees something in Jo maybe the same thing in his self. Sometimes in life you can’t be so closed off you don’t let love in. I loved that even though this was a short read we get to see the development of these two relationship. Tek shows Jo how to have fun and she opens up emotion in him he never thought possible.

These two have a past so it’s not just insta-love. But I would have liked to see more of that past uncovered and some of how Jo is dealing with her complex family issues being that the story of how she came to raise her siblings was told several times throughout the story. I would have liked a little bit more of a physical description of Jo. With all her family issues she needed relief in the worse way and Tek was just the man to give it to her. The ending was cute and left room open for the next story. I would have liked to know what exactly Tek did and how he and Jo got to the place where love does reign supreme. All in all this was a very good read and I look forward to the next story in this series. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

A Story Of Summers By: Sophia Scarlet

Meet the author:

Sophia Scarlet is a Maryland native. She lives with her husband, two children, and cat in the woods not far from the Potomac river. When she is not writing or shuttling her children around, you can find her practicing yoga, cooking, or picking seasonal vegetables at the local CSA.

This was my first read by this author and before I was asked to review ironically a friend of mine was telling me about this story. So I thought it had to be faith that I read this book.

Georgiana “Georgie” is a mess of emotion and destruction at times. We first meet her and she is kissing one guy and then in the next scene snuggling up to his really good friend Finn the guy who she really likes it. Can you say a bit young? That’s not even the half of it Georgie is very complex she has learn to basically survive on her own. She has no family and her circle of friends are her world. She is a hurt girl and looking for love well affection where she can find it and that’s what she did.

Finn now this guy was relentless I don’t know many men who would put up with all the tricks and issues that followed Georgiana. She was so hot and cold with him. First she agrees they should be together and then they aren’t. The cat and mouse game right until the end got a little frustrating and just when you think that ok finally a commitment she jerks poor Finn around on that. I think as a character she had a lot more growing to do.

I did like that this book was told in so much depth and the characters weren’t one dimensional it’s a good plot and not just littered with sex scenes that serve no purpose. This book centered not only on the two characters relationship but their circle of friends all the secondary characters and there were few as readers we got to see how some of their story unfolded like Jasper and Dex. I do wish that we got more from the ending after all these two have been through I would have like a little more.  This story covered so much like self-hurt, depression, love and codependency. I think the author did a great job it was just elements of this story that really annoyed me. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.
