My Forever By Tiffany Patterson

Synopsis:

Savannah

I was only eighteen years old when I thought I had found my happily ever after.

After the tragic death of my mother, I married the love of my life, Ace Townsend.

Yes, we were young and idealistic, but we had it all figured out. He was going to be a fighter pilot in the Air Force. I would go to medical school to become a doctor for people who couldn’t afford healthcare. People like my mother.

But, like everything else in my life, that dream fell apart when I realized Ace was better off without me.
So I left.

Sixteen years later, I’m forced to return to Harlington, Texas. Not for my sake, but to save the one person in my life who matters to me the most.

Even if it means confronting my estranged husband and abiding by his stipulation to move in with him temporarily. If that’s what it takes for him to sign the divorce papers so that I can receive my inheritance and save an innocent life, I’ll do it.

I just have to keep my heart locked away for the next six months.

That’s proving to be easier said than done.

My Forever is an interracial romance (BWWM) and is book three in the Townsends of Texas series. This book contains mature, steamy love scenes. Happily Ever After is guaranteed.

Review:

This isn’t your typical boy meets girl and we fall in love type story. Don’t get me wrong I love and insta-love story. I must start by saying that I love the Townsends and this new set is picking up where their cousins left off.

Ace is a tortured soul, Savannah his young wife has left him after a tragedy. So instead of processing his feelings he turns into a jerk to the opposite sex (typical). Savannah is broken after leaving her one and true love and the trauma she and Ace went through (I won’t spoil the story). By happenstance she finds herself back home with a little friend (Aiden) in tow. Savannah has no plans to stay in town, she wants to settle her grandmother’s affairs and be done. Well of course Ace has a lot to say about that. He has some stipulations on their marriage, and this is where the story begins.

I really enjoyed that as readers we got to see some of the backstory of this couple. The flash back scenes gave context to the pain and love of the story. The suspense aspect was just a bonus. I am a don’t tell me kind of reader let me see it. I did like that we got to see Savannah and Ace’s love grow in this story. There is a bit of drama in this story with crazy exes, political scheme, and kidnapping. I will say that Savannah and her secrets lead to a bit of a letdown. I was expecting more excitement when the secrets were revealed especially since it was one of the reasons, she and Ace were apart.

Aiden was a great addition to the story; I think he provided a needed healing after the loss they experienced. I am excited to see more of Chael’s story. I think he kind of stole the show, with his alpha-ness but he has an extra something that I won’t give away. Ace and Savannah was a sweet love story, with some steamy love scenes and some added drama. This wasn’t an overly complicated read, it was a nice continuation of the Townsend's. I would recommend and its on KU so give it a try. This review is based on one readers opinion, so check the story out for yourself.
