Bradford Dalton and Jayla Stanton are both shifters. Each has their own reason for not wanting to be in a relationship with their own kind. Suddenly finding out that they are mates is a shock to both of them. There’s no way in hell these work enemies will ever be together.
Brad and Jayla are desperate to find a way to coexist with their shifter sides. They just have to contend with the fact they have sexual chemistry that is off the charts. Jayla can turn his body to steel with just a smoldering look. Brad can make Jayla quiver in anticipation with just one touch. You won’t hear either one of them complaining about succumbing to their insatiable need for the other. Sure they can have hot sex which knocks them on their ass, but that doesn’t mean they’ll ever fall for the other. Right?
Publisher's Note: This book was previously released but has been re-edited and revised for this version.
His Wolf’s Desire......
Brad and Jayla have an undeniable attraction to each other but their stubborn nature will not allow them to give in. The author was very clever in giving both sides of the emotions these two felt. Both of their reactions mirrored each other from the appraisal to the direct defiance of attraction. This was an insta-love/lust type of story. From the beginning even though they hated each other one thing they couldn’t deny was their mutual attraction.
Instead of trying to fight off the inevitable they give in and “pretend” to be dating. Jayla doesn’t date wolves and this one is like any other he is her mate. Brad has severe trust issues not having a pack doesn’t make it better. Jayla comes in and turns his world upside down. I did like the chase between the two but after a while it got old and continued throughout the whole story. I mean right until the end they were fighting their relationship at some point I wanted to say get it and let’s get to the relationship part. (the non-conflict). I did have few issues with this stories a few inconsistences.
With all the buildup and angst I wanted more from the ending. The book left a lot of questions for me especially regarding Brad’s family. I didn’t know at times if I was reading about adults or teenagers with the prank calls and the constant denial. One of the lighter parks of the book was the two assistants Monica and Grant. They were so funny and added a little something extra to the story. Hopefully we can get a story on them soon. All in all this was a good light read. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.

Diplomatically winding her way out of immediately going to Olympus and having nowhere to turn, Alena strikes a bargain with the God of War--her virginity for his protection. Ares sees a sweeter deal; her in his bed and himself back in his rightful place on Olympus even if it means turning Alena over to Zeus. After Alena proves herself to Ares in battle and his bed, the God of War must choose between his Divinely Dysfunctional Family, his pride, and Alena. Child of War-A God is Born Ares and Alena have settled on snowy Olympus to await the birth of their son, Raven. Before Raven is even born, Zeus outwardly despises him for his Fey blood. With only one to keep his family safe from his father, Zeus the God of Gods, Ares enters into a blood pact that could cost the God of War everything he holds dear. After a harrowing birth wherein mother and son are nearly lost to Ares, it quickly becomes clear that Raven may be the most powerful and cunning Olympian ever born despite his muddled bloodline. Zeus, Apollo, and Aphrodite plot against the new family by carefully planting the seeds of rage and doubt in Ravens' mind, they turn son against mother. It appears as though Cernunnos' prophecy is coming to life as Raven grows to be a very angry young man. As the true past between the Olympians and Celts is revealed, the battle for Ravens' mind and the ultimate control of Olympus begins. Before it's over, the white snows of Olympus will run red with blood. Child of War-Rising Son sees Raven on the verge of manhood as his rampage continues and he begins the difficult path to Acceptance by his fellow Olympians. Out to prove he's as good, if not better than, any of them he bests the Trials set before him by Hades and Poseidon. This isn't enough for him, in his quest to prove to his Father, Ares, that he is an Olympian Raven preys upon the Mortals below Olympus in a time of great weakness. Enlisting the aid of his Uncle Apollo and settling for nothing less than utter Chaos, together they push the Mortals to pure anarchy. Ready to conquer the remainder of his Trials so he may take his place at the Counsel Table, and bring Ares the glory Cernunnos once prophesized, only one thing stands in his way; the night his Mother fell down the stairs. Apollo, ever the Man Behind the Curtain, pulls Raven's strings like a true puppet master. It's far too late when Raven realizes all he's done in hopes of pleasing his Father actually makes Ares look guilty of destroying the Mortal World. A little Chaos and a little Anarchy aren't enough for the Golden God, in his on-going quest to destroy Ares, Apollo sets a plague loose upon the embroiled Earth. Women of War gives us a brief reprieve from the death and darkness as we journey backward in time spanning four generations of women in Alena's family. Ares and Athena wander the world, hoping to curtail further damage by obliterating weapons of mass destruction the Wolf inside the God of War slowly succumbs to Major Falls. A rabid God of War is not a pretty sight. Soon it becomes clear that Ares may not live to see the glory of Olympus restored.
By the time Ares' fevered body is brought to Olympus, Apollo's descent into madness is utterly complete. The Gold God is quite insane as he expertly kills off the members of his Divinely Dysfunctional Family. Yet, Alena's greatest nemesis holds the key to saving Ares' life. The price is high and, should she pay it, Alena can't be sure Ares would ever be able to forgive her.
Ares was in a foul mood and suffering from a splitting headache when he arrived back on the island with Alena. "Go inside." He said gruffly and pointed toward the cliffs and the cave above.
"Ares?"
"Please, Alena, just do as I ask. Go."
She didn't want to leave him here, alone, on the beach but it didn't appear Ares was wanted company, not hers anyway. In the face of his Father and the other Olympians, Ares stood tall and strong. He'd come to her aid just as he said he would and kept his promise. Alena was stunned. When Zeus said he would return Ares' property and his station to him, she felt sure the God of War would sell her down the river. She wanted to thank him, wanted to ask why he had done it but she held her tongue. "Yes, my Lord." Hiking up the hem of the dress, she turned to make her way up the long strange stairs leading from the beach to the top of the cliff. With a heavy heart, she walked a few steps until she got to the base of the stairs and there she turned around. Ares was sitting on the sand facing the water and the setting sun. He had thrown off the belt with the heavy sword and his thick leather vest; they were in the sand next to him as he sat there with his head down in his hands. She could not leave him there. Quietly coming up behind him, Alena sat down, wrapped one arm over his left shoulder and the other under his right lacing her fingers together and pulling him backward. Alena expected him to balk or to fight but, instead, Ares settled backward into her arms, rested his head in the crook between her neck and shoulder as he let out an exhausted sigh. "I'm sorry I'm so much trouble, my Lord." She whispered as she nestled her face into his hair.
Letting the softness of her touch and the warmth of her body comfort him, Ares closed his eyes and drew in the peaceful shelter she offered. "It's not you. It's Them."
The Olympians were quite the Divinely Dysfunctional Family. Alena had never seen or heard so much bitter bickering from one clan. If that was her Family, she might be damn happy that she lived in Exile on a beautiful island such as this. "They're awful." She whispered in his ear careful not to let any prying ears overhear. Ares gave out a deep chuckle and then another sigh as his hand rose up to caress her arm. She thought of how brave, how daring, and even dashing, Ares had been as he stood there telling all of them they could not have her. When she listened to him speak of Artemis, Alena nearly cried. Then she had been stunned into silence having expected the God of War to hand her over, maybe not with ease but readily enough, in return for his crown and scepter. "Thank you for keeping your promise."
"You expected this chauvinistic pig to do less." Ares mused still with his eyes closed. "Everyone does."
It was in the 4th grade when Lisa discovered she was a naturally gifted writer. The teacher asked the class to pen a story about a baby bird's first flight and read them to the class. Putting pencil to paper, Lisa was instantly whisked away by a force she couldn't explain. When they were finished, all of the children read their happy stories to the class. Not Lisa. She got up and told of how the baby bird flew too high, hit a plane, crashed to the ground and died. She told of how the mama bird and daddy bird cried of how even God was upset sending the rains pouring from the sky. The class was speechless when she finished all they could do was stare at her. The teacher kept her after class told her the story was very good but it was different from the others. She asked Lisa if she'd ever heard of Icarus and did she base her story on him. Lisa had yet to encounter Greek Mythology or hear a whisper of Icarus. As Lisa left the classroom the teacher again told her how good the story was but suggested she might want to write something happier next time. When Lisa asked her teacher "why" she had no answer. Luckily for us, Lisa never took that teacher's advice.
Today she brings us stories rich with romance along with the trials and tribulations that make up the life in which we live.

Ascend (approx. 17,000 words) is Part Three of Wolf in Exile, a serialized shapeshifter paranormal romantic suspense that contains a cliffhanger at the end. Intended for Mature Audiences only.
I was pleasantly surprised by the latest installment
in the Wolf In Exile Series. Just
when I think I have it figured out the author adds another curve ball that
leaves my jaw dropping. I love that this
books starts right off where the other when left off. Kalena has since been rescued
after sharing a steamy love scene with Thane. Although they have a new love
Thane knows shes his mate. But these two have a lot to learn about each other.
When secrets are revealed how will they survive? Area S2 has nothing on the
bomb that’s about to explode when all is revealed.
Things seem to be going well since the two have been
reunited but Kalena has memory loss and Thane is trying to survive in a world
he has been removed from. I was surprised at the turn this book had taken
toward the end. And wanted to scream when the author left us on yet another
cliif-hanger. All in all this was a very quick read but as a reader I wanted
more. As soon as the story was getting good it ended. Hopefully the author doesn’t
make her fans wait too long.

Connor is a half wolf/half human super hunter whose
team is searching for the monster responsible for murdering members of the
Cademon and Arnou pack members. In the midst of his hunt he crosses paths with
Antonia who is in a bit of trouble herself. Because of the dirty dealings of
her twin brother Andrew she is once again put in a situation where she feels
she has to fight her way out.
Because this story is told in layers and each part is intricate
to the story I won’t go into too much detail and give the story a way.
Connor knows that Antonia is different just by her
touch and sent. Antonia has a checkered pass because of her upbringing in an orphanage
she finds it hard to trust and let go. She has always lived her life to protect
her brother but never lived for herself. Connor is just the man to break down
those barriers. I will admit these two getting together is a journey and test
of love.
I didn’t like that it seemed Connor was always begging
Antonia to spend time with him or just to let him in. But because of her past
he had to constantly reassure his interest in her. A major point in the story
was that Antonia knew more about the situation and how it is connected to
Connor’s case then later on it was discussed that she would be “questioned” but
when it came time for her to be interrogated it was put on the back burner or
something else was brought up.
For instance one minute she's fighting him all the way
through and then she finally gives way and now she's all about his life and
future? It seemed odd because she had so many concerns and reservations prior namely
her brother. I would have liked as a reader to see more emotion behind her big
decision or shift in attitude.
I wasn’t quite sure of the timeline at one point it
seems it’s a time lapse and they have a routine of doing things and being
together. And just a scene prior I was just reading about a sex scene. There
were few moments that have me questioning the immediate danger that brought
them together. When they finally have the Alphas meet up the scene about the
danger is overshadowed by wolf traditions but then there is a shift that sets
this book up for the next books and it is oh so good. This author has a way of
telling a story that leaves you wanting more. It was so many twists and turns
with Devin and Tristan family secrets were revealed that may threaten the
alphas and their pack members. I did like that as a reader Connor and Antonia
got to grow in their love and the dreams they create together makes for a great
epilogue. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one review.
Thane and Kalena are back in
Wolf in Exile Unchained. This story
picks up where the second book Wolf in Exile
Captured takes off. Because this story is told in parts I suggest that
readers start with book one to fully understand what is happening.
Kalena: The ex-pharmaceutical
assistant to the V.P. has found herself not only in a shifter prison but
drugged with short term memory loss. With more questions than answers her only
support is Thane. But how do you trust someone whose brother (Gavril) is the
reason you are in danger?
Thane has never felt this way towards another
especially a human. Kalena sparks something in Thane that he hasn’t felt in
centuries. A lone wolf with more family drama and danger than anyone knows.
What do you do when the person you want to protect is in danger by just being
with you?
Gavril, Thane’s brother owns
Silex Pharmaceutical and has been testing his drugs on unsuspecting people this
time one of the persons is Kalena the very person who Thane is now willing to
risk his life and freedom to protect. A complicated situation with many lives
at risk including Thane’s niece the rightful heir to the Silex fortune. Is
Thane now ready to take back his title as Alpha?
In the midst of danger a
strong desire blooms between the two. Kalena is not very experienced in the men
department but Thane is very well equipped to teach her what she has been
missing. The sex scenes between these two are off the charts. It’s a slow
build-up of foreplay and sexy banter.
This second installment
starts off with non-stop action. The author gives the reader insight into the
pack line and a mini-history lesson on how Thane came to be. The first book set
the scene this second story gave us the situation. As a reader my issue like it
always is with short stories is that I wish they were longer because as soon as
you get into the story it’s over. This story does end on a cliff-hanger with a
big decision left hanging in the air. I look forward to reading the follow-up
to this series. Please judge this book for yourselves and not based on this one
review.
**Note both books are available on Kindle Unlimited **
Forewarning: This is a
series book and does end on a cliffhanger.
Area S2 is a futuristic
shifter prison. If you have ever read Hunger
Games or watched the movie The Net
this book is a mixture of both. S2 is beautiful the type of landscape that
attracts many but what lies inside is just the opposite. It is survival of the
fittest. Shifters, and a few humans are left there to die with no hope of survival.
Meals are air lifted and the prison is divided into sections.
Thane: a loaner wolf with no
pack, a convicted felon with a dark past he stays to himself in Area S2. He has
a rule that he doesn’t get involved with anything and anyone that doesn’t concern
him. But some rules are made to be broken…..
Kalena: Silex Pharmaceutical’s assistant to the vice president of accounting
finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Visiting a friend in
another part of the company Kalena stumbles upon some information about the
nefarious deeds of the company. What she stumbles upon cannot be unseen and
because of her curiosity finds herself in a rather precarious situation. Being
dubbed a spy and mistaken for her friend Kalena finds herself in Area S2
without a hope insight. Until…..
Thane has never been
compelled to help anyone in Area S2 until he hears her scream and scent. Bargaining
with Alpha wannabe Nolan he barters for her life for 72 hours. Kalena sparks
something in Thane and their meeting is not by chance. The information she has
about Silex Pharmaceutical dealings could very well be the key Thane needs to
save his life.
This book was very descriptive
in setting the scene for Area S2. The reader almost feels like they are in this
futuristic shifter prison. One of the issues I have as a reader is that so much
attention was given to setting up the scene that by the time I actually got to
the store it ended. Everything was described except the physical features of
the characters. I had no idea what anyone looked like except maybe an outline
of the character i.e. he was built. I think this story should have been longer
or some information should have been omitted. This story was very slow building
but by the time you got to the end you wanted more of a story. I think this
author is off to a great start and hope she doesn’t keep readers waiting long
for the next installment. Please judge this book for yourself and not based on
this one review.
