Gareth Black is drawn to December Mayson the moment he spots her across the room at her cousin’s wedding. When he approaches the beautiful woman, she captivates him with her shyness and wit, making him crave her.
With a pull so strong it’s impossible to ignore, December knows there’s something between her and Gareth. She just hopes they’re capable of jumping the hurdles ahead of them.
Two boys, an ex, a surprise that will change everything, and a disgruntled co-worker, guarantee these two will have their work cut out for them if they are going to find their happily ever after
We all know I am a fan of the “boom”. I love this series and
all things Mayson. This book is no different than the others ones in this
series. Alpha Male, Mayson Family Member = BOOM. I read this book in one
setting. It wasn’t overly complicated but a perfect beach read that will have
you in your feels. This is December and Garreth’s story. I loved that this
author didn’t use the kids Mitchell and Max as props but as a reader we got to
see how their love story impacted the kids and the family dynamic.
This story for me was just one of having faith and going for
it. December was a book worm and very much so introverted, UNTIL Garreth!!! He introduced
her to adventure and just plain ole living. I loved that even though this was an
insta-love type story we got to see the struggles that couples go through
especially becoming a blended family. Of course there is an ex involved but let’s
just say December definitely comes into her own when it comes to her boys. There
is a little drama in this story, but it isn’t overly drawn out. There is quick
resolve and the rest focuses on the love story unfolding. I was a little irked
with the unprotected sex thing. For me it was like so are you ready to have
kids or nah?! Garreth although for me not totally over the top alpha was very endearing,
He loved his family and wanted his boys to learn from his mistakes. He was a
single Dad working 2-3 jobs and raising his boys with the help of his Mother
and Sisters. I absolutely loved the
family dynamic in this book. For example,
Garreth’s Mother coming over and trying to find her place now that December is in
the picture. Not to mention the boy’s Mother making a reappearance. For such a short read Aurora covered her bases
with this book. I will say the issue with the teacher was a little odd, but it
brought awareness to the violence taking place in schools. The author does a
great job of showing the struggles the couple goes through and how they
overcome with love. This was a lighthearted book and the perfect addition for
the Until Series. I would definitely recommend this book.
