To take the bad with the good has never been this tempting…

We all need it. We all crave it. The unexpected. The freedom of letting all your inhibitions go. It’s the thrill of being led to the edge, testing the limits, wondering if and when you’ll be pushed over. It’s the rush of the unknown. The bittersweet of tasting the forbidden when you know it’s undeniably bad for you. It consumes you, possesses you, and seduces you with its decadence, the desire for wickedly bad things.

Eleven stories of sinfully seductive bad boys and scandalously wild bad girls—all ready to ignite your deepest desires by letting you experience the daring side of romance.

A blackmailing hacker. An infamous cage fighter. The Sergeant at Arms of a criminal MC. They’re breaking bad with shameless temptation…and they are downright irresistible.

Do you want to be taken to the edge? Do you ache for the thrill of experiencing how good bad can be?

Summer Reading List

During the summer I always try to compile a list of books to read, not that it would be hard my t.b.r. list is ridiculous. I find it so much easier during the Summer to catch up on everything especially t.v. shows. The kids are out of school, work is slowing down so what's better then the beach and a good read? Problem is I have yet to compile this list and I desperately want to read something good doesn't have to be heavy after all you want something light and fun for the beach. My questions is: What's on your Summer Reading List????

Curve Ball By Mariah Dietz

Title: Curveball
Author: Mariah Dietz
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: May 18, 2017

Blurb

Shakespeare believed there was always humor in tragedy and tragedy in humor.

My life proved his theory as fact.

At eighteen I was a single parent moving to this small town to be with the man I loved. The one who was supposed to love and cherish me in return.

Finding out he had a wife was tragic.
Remaining in love with him in spite of her was more tragic.
My mom and best friend setting me up on a long string of blind dates was an ongoing tragedy.

Nine years later, I’ve learned to see the humor in most situations.

My mom and best friend setting me up on disastrous blind dates.
My son’s jokes.
The fire alarm going off each time I cook.

My constant bright spot always adding to the humor was my son, Hayden. But when Hayden had a life-threatening allergic reaction, the man who came to help my little boy became my own savior. His laugh, his smile, and the way his eyes lit up when he spoke to my son made him a beacon of light in both our lives.

But I wasn’t the only one who noticed him.
When I began having feelings for the man my best and only friend had fallen for, I knew following my heart would once again lead to a fresh round of heartbreak.

Love led me to this town.
Lies kept me there.

Would history repeat itself?

Or had life just thrown me another Curveball?

Excerpt

“I don’t watch TV at night…” Her voice drifts off, and I know it’s because she realizes I’m going to ask why.

And I do.

“You're going to laugh.”

“Probably.”

“It's because I can't hear things.”

“What kinds of things are you trying to hear?”

“I don't know. Strange noises and things…”

“Strange noises?”

“Do I need to spell it out for you?” She’s trying to sound annoyed, but I can hear the smile in her voice.

“Apparently, because I have no idea what you're talking about. What kinds of strange noises are you going to hear? I usually turn my TV up to block out all the strange sounds like the neighbor’s kids and the lady behind me that sounds like Fran fucking Drescher.”

“You know who Fran Drescher is?”

“My mother was a big fan of that stupid show she was in. Stop changing the subject. What are you listening for? Hayden won’t sneak out.”

“What if someone breaks in?”

“You're not serious.”

“Of course I'm serious!”

“What do you do all night?” I ask.

“Work,” she admits. “Well, usually I clean, and then I work.”

“I’m coming over.”

“You can’t.”

The panic in her voice doesn’t make her sound upset about the idea, but afraid.

Is it because she likes me?

“Why not?” I ask.

“It’s like nine o'clock.”

“Are you about to turn orange and sprout a stem?”

“That and I'm not wearing a bra, if you must know.”

“So put it back on.”

“You don't understand. That's like saying put your jeans back on.”

“I am in jeans,” I lie just to get a reaction out of her.

“What is wrong with you?” she cries.

“What's wrong with jeans?”

“They're stiff and uncomfortable. Wearing jeans all day is basically equivalent to walking on sandpaper. But at least you guys have pockets that will actually hold something larger than a thimble and don’t ride up your ass.”

“If your bra is riding up your ass, we have bigger fish to fry than being afraid of the boogey man.”

Until Sage By Aurora Rose Reynolds

Here comes the Boom!!!

Much like many of the other stories in this series this was one of insta-love but with a little twist. As a reader we got to see Sage and Kim romance develop after the huge blow up of him confusing her with her troubled twin sister.

Sage….

In true Mayson fashion once you meet your “boom” you are ruined. Although feeling betrayed by Kim’s deception, he cannot get her out of his system. One of the cutest moments in the books is when Sage courts Kim. One thing I will say is that she makes him work for her affections. Kim was sort of a hypocrite because while she wants Sage to be transparent she has secrets of her own i.e. her illness. Kim has an issue trusting Sage completely. He made her love him and then left her behind. This relationship had it series of ups and downs and misunderstandings. For one Sage being the alpha-male that he was wanted Kim to just fall in line but Kim has a wall up. They both share the fact that they were abandoned by their biological parents. I love that this author writes about both sides of adoption and the process.

I felt Kim and Sage relationship was missing something. I felt like the story was a little short and didn’t explore all the issues that were brought up in passing. I did love the fact that we got to see some of our other favorite characters from previous stories. I noticed that the author didn’t put much emphasis on Kim’s disease this was short sweet romance. I loved that the author showed Kim’s relationship with her parents. I did think it was odd that this story didn’t really mention the word “boom” or that Kim was Sage’s boom. We did get a glimpse of Nyla and how she was coming along with her developing relationship with her birth mom. This story had so many elements but at times was a little dry it lacked the element of suspense and drama found in the authors other books. All in all this was a great beach read it was light and had some very steamy love scenes. Although this wasn’t my favorite addition in the series it was nice to catch up with our old favorites.

Tall, handsome, and successful in his own right, Derek Hill is dealing with some serious relationship problems as well.

A year after a messy break-up with her stripper ex-boyfriend, seamstress, Trevia McCall, is still feeling the after-effects of his betrayal…and their mind-numbing sex life. She’s done with him, but her subconscious mind and body haven’t gotten the memo.

Spoken word artist, Nyles Adams, is the kind of man Trevia loves to love—handsome, talented, and cocky as hell. But as far as she’s concerned, he’s everything she wants and nothing that she needs.

Could it be possible that Trevia and Nyles were made to love each other?

Outspoken and more than capable of backing up her words, loan officer, Denise Buhari, is finally back on her feet after years of rebuilding her life following a horrible marriage and divorce. But just when she is ready to head into a future she’s sure will be bright, the rug is pulled out from under her again.
